Free Ask-the-Tech question

$0

Homeowners, renters, and curious people

Ask a home project or computer/tech question. Good questions may become moderated public Q&A content for SEO and trust.

Quick tech answer

$15

Remote-friendly computer, WiFi, printer, email, device, or scam-check questions

A focused private answer from a computer tech. Best for one clear question where you need practical next steps, not a full remote session.

Project scope review

$29

Home project planning before calling contractors

BidVice helps turn your description/photos into a contractor-ready scope sheet: likely trade, questions to ask, permit/licensing warning areas, and missing details.

Remote tech help session

$49

Scoped remote computer troubleshooting, not limited to Duluth/Superior

A scheduled remote help session for setup, cleanup, account/device issues, printer/WiFi triage, or basic troubleshooting. The $49 pilot offer includes initial scoping and a focused time-limited session for the agreed ask; techs may go above and beyond at their discretion.

Payment policy

BidVice does not handle contractor job payments yet.

For actual plumbing, electrical, roofing, HVAC, repair, or installation work, the homeowner and contractor pay each other directly using their own agreed method.

BidVice earns early revenue from advice, scoping, tech help, and eventually contractor marketing/lead products — not by becoming the bank in the middle of a job dispute.

Lean tech bench first

Remote support can begin with one or two trusted techs handling scoped, time-limited requests. Local in-person visits can stay Duluth/Superior-area only when a visit is actually needed.

Contractor monetization later

  • Free beta contractor profile while BidVice proves local demand
  • Later: verified profile subscription once leads and Q&A visibility have value
  • Later: accepted-lead or connection fee only after the contractor sees the opportunity
